I've been sick with a cold for the past few days and now, thanks to fellow SoCal food blogger ED&BM, I am literally sick with envy.
He ate with Tony Bourdain and was a guest on Bourdain's show!!!
In other news, the stingray craving given to me by Eddie Lin from Deep End Dining with his article on eating Malaysian stingray has only intensfied following this article by Ben from Chow Times
I need to get better. Too much good food out there.

Hey Chubbypanda!
You MUST get better - absolutely essential...you must eat well...and you must go back to Frenzy Sushi! :)
Take care!
I remember seeing one of his shows before on the food network. It was his trip to Japan and he had fugu!!! From that day on I've been craving the deadly fugu fish. The next day my Japanese professor had confirmed to the class that the fugu fish was just delicious. My mouth was watering as she was describing the texture and taste of it.
Kathy,
Thanks for the well-wishes. I'm trying my best. Sushi cures all ills, but first I need to get my sense of smell back. Lost half my sense of taste with the smell gone.
Nguyen,
Fugu is ok. I've tried it in both the US and Japan. It's actually kinda bland. The real draw, theoretically, is the texture. It's soft and slightly chewy, but very tender.
Prompt rétablissement CP,
what will we do without you? Oh really, get well soon...real soon!
biz and Tiger Balm de Paris!
Sick...it's not even sick season. Hope you get better! Eat a nice hearty bowl of pho!
Get well soon...
Emily,
D'accord. Merci beaucoup.
Actually, being sick has afforded me some time to process the backlog of notes from my last trip to Canada, so you'll keep seeing articles and super posts during my recovery. =)
Jeni,
Lol. I'm like the office canary. Whatever cold or flu is about the take the office usually hits me first. It actually kinda worries me, and is one of the reasons I'm so gung-ho about my health. I want to strengthen my immune system for my old age. Will definitely get that bowl of pho. Had to pass up some bun for lunch 'cause I didn't want to infect the Family Man.
RM,
Aye aye cap'n! *salute* (^_^)
