I've recently become enamored with the cultural phenomena of food blogging. Given my background, I've decided to throw my hat into the arena and add my two cents to the cacophony. Mixed metaphors aside, I think it will be an interesting project. Two of my favorite food blogging sites are Monster Munching and Chowhound. I'll be drawing a lot of the inspiration for my articles from the fine food bloggers there, and I hope that my efforts will be well received. The food-related articles you see on this blog will center around four basic themes; Reading, Supplying, Cooking, and Eating. The "Reading" articles will be reviews of fun or interesting books related to cooking or food history. The "Supplying" articles will focus on places to buy, and reviews of, ingredients and cooking equipment. The "Cooking" articles will be original recipes I’ve developed through the years. Most importantly, the focal point of this blog will be the "Eating" articles, reviews of restaurants in Orange County and wherever else my wanderings may take me.

Thanks Passionate Eater! I appreciate the feedback. Homesick Silicon Valley boy here, born and raised. Grew up on San Jose's hole-in-the-wall mom & pops, cruising the Los Gatos pubs, loving the Los Altos eateries, chowing down Mumbai-style in Mountain View, grooving on the great Chinese restaurants in Cutertino and Milpitas, and generally eating my way through Santa Clara county. Not to mention CalTrans hops up to SanFran with a quick route 30 bus ride to the awesome eateries in Chinatown.
Season that with exposure to Piers Anthony at the age of eight, followed by the discovery of Robert Asprin, Weis & Hickman, Asimov, Bradbury, Heinlein, and Jordan, and you'll end up with the hedonistic ball of neuroses and gluttony you have before you now. (^_^)
