For Cat, scrambled eggs, a sausage, rye toast, Canadian breakfast tea, and an apple.
For me, eggs over easy (I used very little oil), grilled Spam, grilled zucchini and squash, steamed white rice, and Japanese green tea.
A little later in the day, we stopped by the Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa for a yaki imo to share.
A really relaxing and wonderful weekend so far, which is good since there will be few of those this month. Working through next weekend again.

I like the sound of grilled zucchini (I love it) but not so keen on squash. With eggs, SPAM and rice - perfect for breakfast! I like how your SPAM looks really nicely crisp and browned.
TFP,
Mmmm... Squash. I have yet to meet a veggie that I didn't like. The trick to browning Spam is controlling the heat. Too high and you'll burn it. Too low and by the time the surface browns, all the moist goodness inside will have cooked out.
